Original Hand Painted Clam Shell - 3 Fish

$90.00

One of a kind original hand painted Alaskan clam shell.

Foraged clam shells from the beach in Yakutat, AK. Hand painted with red, blue, and yellow acrylics. This one of a kind shell is LARGE at over 4” in width. Place the shell on the shelf or use as a dish for your precious trinkets.

On a first time trip to Yakutat, located in south east Alaska, my dad and I went with the intent to catch Steelhead. South east, known for it’s rain had been raining, and the rivers were flooded. Unable to cross on foot due to the height they had risen to, we spent more time combing the coastline of Yakutat. Finding a few huge shells on our last day, I decided to paint on each individual one.

When one plan doesn’t work out you can always find beauty in an alternate.
